If you have been to Sea World, have you ever tried their roller coasters?? They are INSANE!!
Ok, let's first talk about Manta. Manta was my first "real roller coaster" (according to my dad). And my first coaster outside. Manta is the type of coaster where the tracks are above you. In case you didn't know, they have the tracks above you because you are supposed to be swimming like a Manta Ray!
I don't really know how to explain how you sit in it, but just look at this picture my mom took of me and my dad.
So, yay. That is pretty much it for Manta.
Now for the even better outdoor coaster, Mako.
Mako is more fun because it is more of a thriller. You know before you even enter Sea World? That big purple drop? That is Mako. You might be thinking does Mako go upside-down like Manta? It does not. Almost, but not totally. Do you know how I know? Because I have been on it. It is because of the way you are strapped in. It really is just this bar that has handles on it. It feels like you are going to slip right out of the seat during the big drop. But don't worry. The drop is literally the first thing you do.
Here is a good tip, if I am forcing you to go (which I should be)... GO!!
GO ON MAKO FIRST!
Mako is brand new and is very smooth.
Mako is based on the Mako shark. Like Manta is based on the Manta Ray. Mako will make you throw up if you are prone to motion sickness. Because I am, I almost threw up. Mako goes up and down, up and down, up and down.
Well, that's it for today's Sea World blog. Make sure to check out their new coaster Kraken when it opens this summer.
